Happy almost weekend friends!

When I started this lounging venture, I wanted the ability to offer ALL sizes for ALL women. I am so excited to roll out a new Curvy section on the site specializing in sizes XL-3XL.  Having worked in retail nearly all of my life, I truly understand how different women are from one another. Not just in size, but in personality, beliefs, careers, goals. However, there is one thing I know encompasses all women – we always want to feel comfortable, while remaining stylish, of course!

Another goal of mine has been to feature different female entrepreneurs in our local communities because each of these ladies have a beautiful story & have taken the scary plunge to build something from the ground up. You may have seen her lounging around on my site, but she is also one incredibly talented artist.

Please enjoy e-meeting the next lady leader in our Real Charleston Women Series, Emma Cohen of EmCo Arts.

Q: Describe your business & where we can find you.

A: I’m a visual artist with a very feminine vibe in my work & in a variety of mediums.  My artwork hangs at @thestationparkcircle and you can find me on IG @emco.arts as well as my website www.emcoarts.com

Q: Describe yourself in 3 words.

A: Creative. Fun. Loud.

Q: What is your favorite lounging spot or destination?

A: I love to lounge on my front porch on weekend mornings with coffee or at end of the day with a glass of wine – the sunsets are stunning!

Q: What’s your favorite lounging snack in that spot or destination?

A: I’ll eat tortilla chips anywhere anytime – sometimes with another snack friend like cheese or fruit, sometimes alone & sometimes with cottage cheese which – isn’t for everyone lol.

Q: What could you talk about for hours?

A: Sorry to say but the answer is CrossFit – I’ve been doing it for 10 years, coached for a bit, plus we opened & own a gym (shout out to my husband’s primary endeavor @locomotionfitness – I quit a year ago to be a F/T artist) so over the years and with such a large community – I’ve collected a lot to say about it!

Q: If you could make 1 rule & everyone had to follow it that day, what would it be?

A: Everyone would have to make a self-portrait in any medium they choose – except cell phone selfies!

Q: Lastly, what’s your life’s theme song?

A: I think I’m going with Blackbird by the Beatles. I know it sounds a bit melancholy on the surface but the message of life-long learning & hope resonates with me in my day-to-day life.

Hope you enjoyed meeting Emma in this lounge sesh & remember pie is better shared & there’s enough of it to go around.
