Lounge Together
Lounge Together. You can take that literally as a few of us gal pals lounging together perhaps for a night of The Bachelorette or taste testing yummy hand made pasta on your new pasta maker. Both scenarios sound lovely to me.
However, what I mean by lounging together in this E-letter is owning what it means to collaborate with other women entrepreneurs who are going through the grind to find that daily comfort & can at the end of the day say to ourselves, “What we did was amazing!”
Since creating LWU, I have joined several entrepreneurial groups online, attended marketing webinars, taken social media classes on how to increase followers, etc.… All of which have been extremely helpful in this start of my new lounging journey. Growth, I believe is something we all want to achieve. Whether it be emotionally, financially, or spiritually. I do not think this is something we can easily accomplish on our own.
Naturally, we want it as fast as we can get it. However, I am often reminded we must crawl before we can walk and walk before we can run.
Well, I walked into a Facebook group recently – Charleston Women in Business – and the connections I have made there are invaluable. Last week I & three other Charleston female entrepreneurs I met from the group gathered for a photo shoot in downtown Charleston. I really wanted to create a way in which to help promote these women who wear the same entrepreneurial stilettos as myself.
My now friend, Vivian Walton - @theseasonedmarketer – said it best when she called our shoot, “The sisterhood of being a #womanownedbusiness.”
Lounge Together. Find those ladies who want to help lift you. They are there & they are here. We will grow better together, I guarantee.
Without further a due, I’d like you to meet the first small business owner in my Real Charleston Women spotlight: Amanda Sheridan.
Q: Describe your business & where we can find you.
A: I founded Charleston's premiere luggage storage company to allow guests to maximize their time in the city without the struggle of their luggage pre/post accommodations.

Q: Describe yourself in 3 words.
A: Genuine, Optimistic, & Enthusiastic

A: Can't beat the Charleston rooftop scene, best views in town. Eleve', Vendue, or The Watch Rooftop to name a few.

A: Cocktails of course! I'm a Vodka Seltzer fan, don't forget the lemon.

A: Girl on Fire by Alicia Keys. Honestly, whether you are a girl or not, the message in this song applies to all. Don't EVER let others dim your light!
Hope you enjoyed meeting Amanda in this lounge sesh and remember pie is better shared and there's enough of it to go around.
